Extending Discipleship, Exploring Vocation (EDEV)
This is a programme for people who are exploring their sense of calling or vocation within the Church. Emphases include:
- Vocational Discernment
- Theological Foundations
- Broadening experience of the Church and the world it seeks to serve.
- Discovering more about Methodism
Wesley House helps to provide courses and training for those interested in the Methodist Church's Extending Discipleship Exploring Vocation programme. We work with the local Districts and the Regional Training Partnership to help anyone interested in this programme. In the near future we are hoping to be able to provide training for leaders in Circuits who are interested in starting local groups or helping to mentor individuals.
People interested in EDEV can join the Wesley House course Introduction to Life and Service in the Methodist Tradition, or our less formal Thursday community evenings which seek to explore what it means to be a Methodist today. For those with more time to study the new Cambridge Federation Foundation Award (FdA), which can be studied at Wesley House has several modules suitable for those exploring EDEV.
