Diploma Course
A creative and professional learning experience for those who have completed the Certificate in Supervision (or an equivalent 35+ hours of supervision training) and want to/already offer a professional level of supervision. The course focuses on developing and monitoring supervisory relationships that support the accountability and flourishing of supervisees within a professional framework. Creative methods, facilitated triads and group supervision are part of the learning process.
This course prepares participants to submit applications for accreditation to the Association of Pastoral Supervision and Education. Further practice hours will need to be evidenced beyond those required by this course. Information about APSE accreditation routes can be found here.
Students have included those already practising as professional supervisors and those seeking accreditation including hospital chaplains, spiritual directors, local clergy, theological educators & CPE supervisors from Australia, Ireland, the UK, and the USA including Anglicans, Methodists, Reformed, Roman Catholics and Salvationists.
- ‘I learnt an immense amount and I’m still processing some. I have a glimpse of more learning to come.’ Kate Gartside, retired URC minister
- ‘Wonderful, playful, energetic, thoughtful. The whole process modelled the process of supervision’, Julie Dunstan, supervisor of spiritual directors
- ‘The way we worked together was excellent – using us all and respecting input offered by participants.’ Donna Ely, Methodist Deacon
