George Hunsberger

Research interests
The primary focus of my research has been in the field of missional ecclesiology, and a variety of related fields, including eschatology, epistemology, missional vocation, cultural anthropology, theological ethics, world Christianity, and evangelism. I have given special attention to the mission theology of Lesslie Newbigin, a dominant figure in 20th century mission thought.

Supervisory experience
I have mentored numerous students seeking the Master of Theology degree in the area of mission, and have supervised the development and approval of their final Thesis. Similarly, I have mentored either informally or formally postgraduate students seeking the Ph.D. degree, especially in areas of my focus. Beyond that, I have served as external examiner for a number of Ph.D. dissertations, some whose focus has been on the work of Lesslie Newbigin.
