In 2015 Wesley House joined with the following partners to deliver bi-annual seminars in Methodist Studies – Manchester Wesley Research Centre; the Oxford Centre for Methodism and Church History; the Wesley Studies Centre, St John’s College, Durham University; Cliff College and The Queen’s Foundation, Birmingham.
The seminars provide an opportunity for established and emerging scholars of Methodist Studies to present the findings of their research. We conceive of Methodist Studies broadly and aim to provide opportunities for students of history, theology, literature, art, material culture and other fields related to Methodism. You can sign up for the seminars mailing list here
The second 2022 seminar will be at The Queen’s Foundation, Birmingham on Saturday 10 December 2022.
Details of the previous seminars can be found here:
Papers delivered at the seminars can be considered for publication in journals connected to the sponsoring institutions: Wesley and Methodist Studies (Manchester and Oxford), Theology and Ministry, (Durham), Holiness (Cambridge).
The last seminar Wesley House hosted was on 21 May 2022. Please see our Keynote Address and Closing Paper presentations:
